Sara Nell Wise, 82, of Edisto Beach, South Carolina, wife of George Spence Wise, Jr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 18, 2017. Sara was born August 21, 1934 in Laurens, South Carolina, the only daughter of the late Cliff Bishop and Nell Cogdill Bishop. She lived in Ware Shoals, and Laurens when growing up, where she enjoyed teaching young children ballet and tap dancing. She graduated from Laurens High School in 1952 and Lander College in 1956. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, G Spence Wise, Jr., three sons, George Spence Wise, III (Linda), Merritt Island, FL; R Glenn Wise (Pam) Lake Wylie, S.C; A. Fellers Wise (Lee), Lexington, S.C; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Sara Nell made friends easily and was a joy to be around. She was a loving Christian and an encouraging wife who helped her husband immensely. She moved around a lot during her married life but it never took very long after moving into a house for her to make it into a "home". She spent much of her married life raising her three sons, a labor of love, one in which she did an outstanding job. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 21,2017 in Edisto Island United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Edisto Island United Methodist Church, 8193 Palmetto Road, Edisto Island, S.C at 10:00 a.m. Burial services will follow Wednesday afternoon in Prosperity S.C Cemetery (about one mile south of Prosperity on Highway 391) at 3:00 pm.
