Sarah Mae Adams, 93, of Whitmire, South Carolina, died on January 6, 2026, at White Oak Manor, in Newberry, South Carolina. Born on December 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Marie and James Laffayette Adams, Sr.

Born and raised in Whitmire, Sarah was a longtime devoted member of Whitmire First Baptist Church.

Determined and resilient, she faithfully attended every church service for over 50 years and was awarded a certificate in recognition of her consistent attendance. Whether it was attending Sunday school each week or quilting with her fellow church members; Sarah was a devoted member of her church and the Whitmire community. When she wasn't at church, she could often be seen riding her red bicycle through town, collecting bottles, or mowing grass for the community of Whitmire. Sarah had an adored love for her late mother, Sarah Marie.

Sarah is survived by her niece, Shelby Felker (Wilson); nephew, Jimmy Dominick (Teresa).

In addition to her parents, Sarah is predeceased by her brothers, James L. Adams, Jr., and Thomas B. Adams, along with her sister, Ruby Adams Dominick.

A graveside service at Whitmire Cemetery will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite.
