Sergio Pascual, de 30 años, de Newberry, falleció el lunes 31 de julio de 2023. Nació en Fresno, California, el 23 de abril de 1993. Asistió a la preparatoria Mid-Carolina, donde fue miembro del JROTC y activo en el programa de música. Como apasionado saxofonista, ganó númerosos reconocimientos y participó en el programa musical de verano de la South Carolina Governor School. Su carisma fué reconocido por el cuerpo estudiantil del JROTC de la preparatoria Mid-Carolina cuando fué coronado cómo Rey del Baile Militar de la Escuela Secundaría. Después de graduarse de la preparatoria Mid-Carolina, estudió en la Universidad de North Georgia y fué parte del Cuerpo de Cadetes.

Era un creador dígital y podía aprovechar su tálento para la innovación y su mentalidad empresarial para ofrecer sus habilidades como voluntario en Saving Saluda Strays, ayúdando a colocar perros con familias amorosas. Tenía dos perros propios, Cleo y Royce, a quienes amaba profúndamente y a menudo los paseaba por Lynches Woods todas las mañanas. También era un criador responsable de perros y se aseguraba de que cada uno de sus cachorros fuéra a un hogar seguro y amoroso. Le sobreviven sus padres; abuelito de 90 años; hermano, Nicolás Pascual; hermanas, María Pascual y Meliza Pascual; tios y primos; y amigos.

Sé celebrará una Misa de Cuerpo Presente a las 3 p.m. del martes 8 de agosto de 2023 en la Iglesia Católica de San Marcos, 928 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108. Su visitación será lunes 7 de agosto de 2023 en la Fúneraria Whitaker, empezáremos el santo rosario a las 4 p.m. con una visita de 4:30 p.m. a 6 p. m. a todo los que deséan visitarlo y dárle el ultimó a DIOS. Sergio Pascual, 30, of Newberry, died Monday, July 31, 2023. He was born in Fresno, California, on April 23, 1993. He went to Mid-Carolina High School where he was a member of the JROTC and active in the music program. An avid saxophone player, he won numerous accolades and attended the South Carolina Governor's School summer musical program. His charisma was recognized by the Mid-Carolina High School JROTC student body when he was crowned the High School Military Ball King. After graduating from Mid-Carolina High School, he studied at the University of North Georgia and was part of the Corps of Cadets.

He was a digital creator and was able to harness his talent for innovation and his business mindset to volunteer his skills to the Saving Saluda Strays to help place dogs with loving families. He had two of his own dogs, Cleo and Royce, whom he dearly loved, you would find them strolling Lynches Woods every morning. He was also a responsible dog breeder and ensured that each of his puppies went to a safe and loving home. Sergio had a strong sense of duty to the family and community: he helped his local community by organizing efforts to improve the road, and took care of his parents, Benito and Felicita V. Pascual, in their times of need. Sergio was resilient and handled setbacks by making them his own and moving forward. He was quick witted and was the funniest man in the room. Physical fitness was his passion and he would often try to motivate others to join him. He is survived by his parents; brother, Nicolas Pascual; sisters, Maria Pascual, and Meliza Pascual.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 928 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108. A Rosary will be held at 4pm on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Whitaker Funeral Home, with a visitation from 4:30-6pm. He will be buried in San Juan, Oaxaca Mexico at a later time.

The family invites all family and friends to join them to pray the rosery every day at 7 p.m. at their home, 195 Eight Point Trail, Newberry, SC 29108.

The family also invites all family and friends to a final rosery prayer service and visitation, from 3 until 5 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at their home address.
