IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Ann
Williams
September 3, 1949 – September 29, 2024
Sharon Ann Williams, 75, passed away at Grace Davis Hall Hospice House on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Sharon is survived by her husband and best friend of 50 years, Wayne C. Williams; her children: Gregory Edward (Cyndi) Williams, Ann Michelle Williams, Melissa Leigh (Damon) Baxley, and Teri Lynn (Robert) Hansen; siblings: Barbara (Greg) Stein, Sandi (Tommy) Poupard, and Robert Kinard; sister-in-law, Pam Kinard; and grandchildren: Makayla, Kate Lynn, Craig, and Rylan. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Austin and Eugenia Starling Kinard as well as her brother William "Billy" Kinard.
Sharon was born and raised in Ocala. She attended Ocala High School and the College of Central Florida. Prior to retirement, Sharon spent time as a hair stylist, stay-at-home mother, and paraprofessional at Hillcrest School.
Sharon thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her lunches with fellow Ocala High School graduates, family reunions, "Hallmark Hankie" movie sessions with her granddaughters, cheering for her grandchildren at their school and sporting events, and practicing her arts and craft skills. Sharon was proud of her family's many accomplishments and proudly held the title of "Grandma" to her grandchildren and their friends!
Sharon "married into" the Mississippi State fanbase and celebrated she and Wayne's team by traveling to Starkville every football season to camp in their RV and ring their cowbells for their beloved Bulldogs.
Wayne and Sharon saw many good days and tough days making their way through life together, but no matter how difficult some situations may have seemed, Sharon always maintained her sense of humor. Sharon often said and would tell her family and friends now, "If you don't laugh, you'll cry. So, choose laughter!"
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd Street. Ocala, Florida with Pastor Joe Garboden officiating.
