Shirley M. Mooney, 92, of Newberry, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her residence. Born on May 25, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Laura Hines DuBeau. Mrs. Mooney was a devoted mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren. She loved all animals and will be remembered most as a strong, independent woman, living her life the way she wanted. She will be missed greatly and is survived by her daughters, Jackie Kennedy (Michael) of Newberry, Patricia Ann DuBeau of Durham, NC, and Cheryl Marie Allen of Harbor Beach, MI; grandchildren, Andrew, Arial, Dana, April, Andrea, Connie, Stephanie, and Kathryn; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Mooney; son, David Michael Mooney; and brother, Vincent DuBeau.
