Stephen J. Bendziewicz 48 of Chapin died Friday March 31 2011 at his residence. Born on October 6 1962 in Edison NJ he is the son of Clare McElwee Bendziewicz and the late Frank J. Bendziewicz. Stephen worked with IBM for 25 years and was a member of the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin. Above all he was a devoted father. In addition to his mother he is survived by his children Catherine Sam and Stephen Bendziewicz all of Chapin; sisters Joan (John) Blackwelder of Chapin Jeanne (Pete) Kennedy of Pottersville NJ and Jill (Jess) Bendziewicz-Tracey of Vancouver BC; and a brother Frank (Kathy) Bendziewicz of Neshanic Station NJ. Funeral mass were conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church by Father Marcin and by Father Andrew Vollkommer. The rosary was recited at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and visitation will follow from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
