Stephen "Stevie" Lowell Bass 43 of 242 Pugh Road Little Mountain died Monday March 29 2010 at his residence. Born in Newberry on August 27 1966 he was a son of Stephen E. Bass of Newberry and Kay Cox Anderson of Lake Murray. He was a member of the Newberry Church of God. His passion was racing first with dirt track late models and later with go-carts. In addition to his parents Mr. Bass is survived by his wife Pamela "Pam" Slice Bass to whom he was everything; nephews Sgt. Allen Sanders USMC of Cherry Point NC Cpl Joshua Sanders USMC of Camp Lejeune NC and Jordan Sanders of Little Mountain; step-father Bob Anderson of Lake Murray; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bernie and Tammy Metts of Little Mountain; father-in-law Jimmy D. Metts of Little Mountain; and grandmother-in-law Mary B. Long of Prosperity. He was predeceased by his grandparents Frances and Ernest Bass and his mother-in-law Rosemary Metts.Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Newberry Church of God by the Rev. Daniel Nash and the Rev.
