Sudie Kibler Metts 96 of 3622 St. Phillip's Church Road Newberry wife of J. Louie Metts died Sunday October 23 2005 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Metts was born on August 29 1909 in Newberry County a daughter of the late L. Will and Vinnie Ruff Kibler. She was a life long and faithful member of St. Phillip's Lutheran Church and was a member of the B Sunday School Class. Mrs. Metts was a faithful mother and wife and is survived by her husband of 59 years; two sons and daughters–in-law Steve and Gayle Metts of Newberry and Tim and Kathy Metts of Little Mountain; two sisters Rebecca Driggers of Newberry and Kathryn Mills of Saluda; one brother Earl Kibler of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren Chris Metts Joe Metts Douglas Metts John Metts Blake Metts Meredith Fulmer and Nicole Fulmer; and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Daniel Metts.Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday at St. Phillips Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Interment was in the church cemetery.Visitation was from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M.
