IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sunie Elizabeth Livingston
Boozer
April 30, 1970 – October 21, 2023
Sunie Elizabeth Livingston Boozer unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on the night of Saturday, October 21, 2023. Although her life ended far too soon, she filled every day with serving others and loving her family, friends, and furry companions.
Born to Dr. Robert E. Livingston, III and Georgette DuTart Livingston on April 30, 1970, Elizabeth grew up in Newberry where she was doted on by her loving grandparents and their friends, and overall surrounded by the blessings of a small town. She graduated from Newberry High School, the University of Georgia, and the University Of South Carolina School Of Law.
Elizabeth was a family court lawyer, specifically working as a guardian ad litem in several counties statewide. Each child Elizabeth worked with was treated as if they were her own. The highlight of each year for her was Adoption Day where she was able to unite children of the community with their forever families. She is well respected by her colleagues, judges, and court officials; she will forever be remembered as a passionate litigator for her clients, going above and beyond for each and every client she worked for.
Beyond her career, Liz was one to enjoy every moment that life had to offer her. She enjoyed spending time at The Secret Garden at Edisto Beach where she made many fond memories with her closest loved ones. Memories were not limited to the beach; Elizabeth celebrated every Halloween to the fullest by decorating and hosting the "spookiest" parties, she enjoyed cheering on the Gamecocks, visiting goats, and of course, dance parties.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her father, Dr. Robert "Bobby" Edward Livingston, III. She is survived by her mother, Georgette DuTart Livingston, her brother Robert (Becky) Livingston, and her beloved nieces and nephews, Andrew, Ledare, and Philip Livingston; Morgan Scarnecchia and Mallory Nichols. She is also survived by her loving fiancé, Brian Kinard, his daughters Brianna Harris and Baylee Kinard. Additionally, Liz is survived by her ex-husband, Benjamin Boozer, her Aunt Polly Davis, several cousins, and her ever-loyal furry companions, Addie Mae and Bear.
While her family and friends mourn her sudden passing, Elizabeth has left memories that will be cherished for the years to come. She will forever and always be our Dancing Queen.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Newberry County Animal Shelter or Boys Farm Inc.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Rosemont Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends following the graveside service at the family residence, 2007 College Street, Newberry.
Whitaker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Elizabeth Livingston Boozer.
