Susan Meacham Willingham of Prosperity, 70 years of age, died Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her residence. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Dewey Thomas Meacham and Mary Frances Meacham. Susan was a retired medical transcriptionist who had a great affection for family, friends, and animals. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brent and Megan Willingham of Prosperity; siblings Betsy Nobles and Donald Meacham both of Prosperity; grandchildren, Brianna Bowers, Brooke Willingham, Katelyn Willingham; and great grandchildren, Margo Scoggins and Adrianna Bowers. Susan eagerly anticipated the arrival of her first grandson in February 2021. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Thomas Charles Meacham, her brother in law Jay Nobles, and nephew Jay Nobles Jr. After retiring from medical transcribing, Susan was employed by the Newberry County Foundation at the Hospital Gift Shop.
