Teresa McLaughlin Dean of Newberry, 49 years of age, died on Thursday August 6, 2020 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born on August 10, 1970 in Coeur d" Alene, ID, she was the daughter of Sherry Sothern Taylor and the late John L. McLaughlin. Ms. Dean was a cafeteria worker with the Newberry County School District. She was a Georgia Bulldog fan. Teresa was a loving daughter, a great mother, the best Mimi, and a friend to everyone. She had a deep faith. She is survived by her mother Sherry; children, Casey Dean, Corey Dean, and Joel Dean; grandchildren, Kai Lewis Dean, Xavier Spearman, Bentley Dean, and Winter Dean; Stepbrother, John Taylor; and her longtime companion, Tony Cannon. In addition to her birth father, she was predeceased by the father who raised her, John Taylor. There will be a visitation and viewing from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Whitaker Funeral Home. in Newberry.
