A resident of Newberry, SC, Terri was born in Mobile, AL, on November 13, 1962, the first born child of the late Aubrey E Raybon and Frances Joyce (Rhyne) Raybon. Terri battled lung cancer for 20 months and was welcomed into the arms of her Savior to the place that knows no cancer or pain on Friday morning, September 8, 2017, in Newberry. She had great faith and knew where she was going if she lost her earthly battle, sharing her belief with her family and others.
Blessed are those whose path she crossed and were fortunate enough to know her.
Terri was a beautiful girl, inside and out...loving, caring and compassionate with her family and all those around her. After being diagnosed with cancer, one of the things she loved most was providing fruit and snacks for other patients at South Carolina Oncology on every visit she made. She was so loved by patients, doctors and staff there.
Terri worked many years in the real estate industry and was a long-time closing agent in Mobile, loved and trusted by many. She recently retired as a dedicated supervisor from EAS Gas & Supply in Newberry.
Terri leaves a loving family to mourn her passing. She is survived by her beloved husband, James P (Jim) Bishop of Newberry, SC; her only child whom she adored, Jordan K Hill of Mobile, AL; stepson, Jess (Elizabeth) Bishop of Columbia, SC; loving mother, Joyce Raybon (Kenneth Massey) of Mobile, AL; sisters Rhonda (Scott) Long, Lee Raybon & Sherri Raybon all of Mobile, AL; brother-in-law Rob (Susan) Bishop of Mobile, AL; sister-in-law Marie (Mickey) Johnson of Newberry; nephews Cameron, Curran & Christian Long; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 1 o'clock at Parkway Congregational Methodist Church, 4270 Industrial Parkway, Eight Mile, AL, 36613.
Visitation and reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
