Terry C. Brooks 45 of 2030 Stoney Battery Road Newberry died Wednesday November 29 2006 in Laurens.He was born on July 4 1961 in Newberry a son of the late Charlie L. and Dorothy Derrick Brooks. He was an employee of Norbord S.C. where he was one of the start-up employees with the company when it began operations.He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended Central Avenue Baptist Church in Whitmire. His favorite hobby was fishing especially on the Saluda River.Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife Faye Perry Brooks of Newberry; his daughter and son-in-law Felicia and Brad Bright of Newberry; two sisters Judy B. Chestnut of Cheraw and Elaine B. Hamilton of Greenville; and his two grandchildren Ethan Bright and Dylan Bright.Funeral services were conducted 1:00 PM Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home by the Rev. Wako Cotney. Interment was in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
