Terry E. Dissel, formerly known as Terry Russo Noble, died on May 12, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.
Born on June 22, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA., she was a daughter of the late Joseph Russo, Sr. and Norma Frances Modlin Russo.
Terry was a state retiree having worked as a bus driver for the Newberry County School District and as a receptionist with Piedmont Technical College.
She was a devout Christian and an active member of College Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, participated in the RSVP singers and also the Sea Farers Ministry. She had also taken part in mission trips to both Peru and Lynch, KY. She loved her family and especially enjoyed the time spent with her two grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, James Dissel; children, Thomas Rion Noble and Jamie Elizabeth Green (Ivory) all of Newberry; grandchildren, Brandon and Nadia Green; siblings, Angelo Russo (Karen) of Irmo, Joe Russo, Jr. and Maria Blair (Ed) both of Virginia Beach, VA; and a step-daughter, Natalie Hudson (Jeff) of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her parents and her former husband, James Howard Noble.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 15 at College Street Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chad Ashby.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
