Therisa Worthy Crowder, 70, of Newberry died Monday, November 29, 2021 at White Oak Manor. Born on June 23, 1951, in Greenwood, SC she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Catherine Spence Reynolds. Therisa was a devout Christian with a strong faith. She loved to listen to music, sing, and read books. Most importantly, she loved her family and she will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. Therisa is survived by her children, Earl Britton "Britt" Worthy, Jr. (Ashley) and Pamela W. Brown, both of Prosperity; brother, E.L. Reynolds (Mary Catherine) of Newberry; sisters, Faye Dixon of Newberry and Jane Longshore of Georgia; grandchildren, Kayla Koon (Lindsey Brown), Jarrett Worthy and Madelyn Worthy and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Hilda Walkup and brothers, Robert Lamar Reynolds and Ronald Willie Reynolds. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the residence of Pam Brown, 153 Wessinger Dr., Prosperity, SC 29127. In lieu of any flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Dementia Society of America, 188 N Main St, Doylestown, PA 18901.
