Tommie Sue Duckett, 80 years of age from Laurens, SC, died on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Laurens County Memorial Hospital. Miss Duckett was born on September 19,1940 in Blue Ridge, GA and was a daughter of the late Dr. Kennon Duckett and Margaret Senn Duckett. Those who knew her say she was "stubborn as a mule" and that whenever she took on the task of doing something, she had to have it done "just right". She is survived by her sister, Mae Ola Workman (Bill) of Matthews, NC; her best friend and companion, Barbara Wallenzine of Laurens; nieces, Laurie McGuire (Mike) of Little Mountain and Karen Wingo (Lamar) of Weddington, NC; great nephew, Thomas McGuire; great nieces, Rachel Kennedy and Hanna Wingo; and her pet dog, "Miss Annie BoBo Duckett". Graveside funeral services for Tommie Sue will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 29 in Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Billy Cole and the Rev. Dan Ratchford.
