Travis Levern Eargle died Sunday July 24 2005.Mr. Eargle was born on August 30 1938 in Richland County SC a son of the late James M. and Louise Chapman Eargle. He was a 1956 graduate of Chapin High School and served in the US Army Reserve at Fort Jackson. He was a retired electrician with Thomas Electric Company and was owner and operator of Eargles' 66 Service Station in Chapin. He was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church. Mr. Eargle is survived by his wife Mary Katherine Stone Eargle; two sons and a daughter-in-law Tracy and Lisa Eargle of Irmo and Glenn Eargle of Chapin; a sister Lorene Eargle Cannon of Irmo; four brothers Raymond Eargle of West Columbia Dale Eargle of Irmo Leland Eargle of Columbia and Lemuel Eargle of Chapin; and two grandchildren Rebecca Caroline Eargle and Travis Douglas Eargle of Irmo. He was predeceased by three brothers John Eargle B.L. Eargle and Elton Eargle.Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church by the Rev. Andrew Eargle. Interment was in the church cemetery.Visitation was from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
