Troxelle Halfacre Senn, 94, of Newberry, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her residence. Born on June 11, 1922 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Perry F. and Hattie Sease Halfacre. She grew up in Newberry and on February 2, 1947 she married H. David Senn who preceded her in death. She retired from Purcell's Insurance after many years of service. Mrs. Senn was a member of Clayton Unitarian Universalist Church. She was very active with the 50+ group at First Baptist Church and the Joy Fellowship at St. Philips Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Newberry Parks and Recreation. She was also an avid reader, and truly enjoyed the opportunity to participate in bus tours. She was very close to her family and they to her and they all cherished the regular conversation with each other. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Linda Halfacre, Marianne Carlisle (Chris) and Janice Graham (Bob); a great nephew, Rob Graham; a number of great nieces including Ann-Marie Carlisle and Jennifer Brunson; a great great niece Lauren Alethia Brunson and sisters-in-law, Dot Senn and Betty S. Halfacre both of Newberry. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Alethia Halfacre Abrams, Cyril Sease Halfacre, Perry E. Halfacre, and Harry W. Halfacre. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Dan Ratchford and the Rev. Creighton Jones. The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
