Virgil L. Boland 85 of 3303 Wheeland Road Little Mountain widower of Frances Graham Boland died Sunday January 09 2005 at Providence Hospital.Mr. Boland was born on September 12 1919 in Little Mountain a son of the late Dewitt C. and Eula Frick Boland. He was a Navy veteran of World II and he retired as a Plant Supervisor from South Carolina Electric & Gas Co having 43 years of service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Men's Sunday School class was a former vice-chairman of the Congregational Council and was a former member of the Lutheran Church Men and the Little Mountain Ruritan Club.Mr. Boland is survived by a daughter Judith B. Wessinger of Little Mountain; three sons Leon F. Boland Charles H. Boland and David I. Boland all of Little Mountain; two sisters Edith Bedenbaugh and Mary Ruth Long both of Prosperity; brother John D. Boland of Little Mountain; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Bonni B. Barnes a sister Rosalyn B. Fulmer and a brother Everett Boland.Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Guy Cruse. Interment was in church cemetery. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
