Virginia Berry Stevens 84 of Newberry died Thursday April 30 2015 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 3 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev Floyd Sides. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Born on August 14 1930 in Newberry she was the daughter of the late Grady and Ethel Kyzer Berry and step-daughter of the late Agnes Berry. Virginia was a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church and the LCW Circle of Light. She formerly worked at Newberry Mills at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home as a CNA and at Roses Dime Store. She loved her family and God and was very fond of Elvis and Michael Combs. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and was known as a kind person who enjoyed sending out birthday cards. She is survived by a son Ronnie Wayne Stevens (Susan); grandchildren Jesse Stevens Charles Stevens Christopher David Stevens and Tracy Arrowood (Lloyd); great grandchildren April Arrowood and Joshua Arrowood; sister-in-law Shirley Livingston (Clarence) and Cedalia Stevens. In addition to her parents and step-mother she was predeceased by her husband Charles Edward Stevens; and son Larry Edwin Stevens.
