Vivian Bishop Summer 86 of Newberry died Thursday November 26 2015 at White Oak Manor. Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday November 29 2015 in the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 28 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Whitaker Funeral Home. She was born on November 1 1929 in Newberry County to the late Robert and Edna Stillwell Beaty. Mrs. Summer was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and worked many years at SC Job Service. She enjoyed cooking and square dancing but her favorite pastime was traveling. She is survived by a daughter Marie Bishop Johnson of Newberry; sons Rob Bishop (Susan) of Mobile AL and Jim Bishop (Terri) of Newberry; grandchildren Micky Johnson Jr. (Cheryl) Pete Johnson (Barbie Horne) Chris Johnson (Connie) Jess Bishop Russell Bishop Jordan Hill Bailey Miller and Hannah Miller; great-grandchildren Heather Kristin Garrett Jason Samantha Tori Wil Christina Scott and TJ; and her beloved dog Sissy. She is predeceased by spouses James Pete Bishop and Larry Punk Summer; brothers Dan and Kenneth Beaty; and a son-in-law Micky Johnson Sr. Pallbearers will be Micky Johnson Jr. Pete Johnson Chris Johnson Jess Bishop Jordan Hill Russell Bishop Garrett Jason and Wil.
