W. L. "Jr." Brantley Jr. 81 of 1140 Lee Circle West Columbia died Friday July 6 2007 at his residence.He was born on July 25 1925 in LaGrange GA a son of the late William Lamar and Emma Nora Price Brantley. He was twice married first to the late Mary Ella Powell Brantley and second to Mary Florine Wilson BrantleyMr. Brantley was retired from Damon International and was a member of Airport Baptist Church. He was a member of Amity Masonic Lodge #87 and was an honorary life member of Lexington Springdale Cayce and Sinclair lodges. He is survived by his wife of the home; a son Mike (Tonya) Brantley of Martinez GA; a grandson Jonathan Brantley; two stepdaughters Sally (Greg) Estes of Atlanta GA and Mary Rowe of West Columbia; two stepsons Charles (Tracy) Bedenbaugh and Pat (Brenda) Bedenbaugh both of Lexington; sisters-in law Sarah Powell and Rita (M.C.) Yarbrough both of Newberry ; a special nephew Tony Powell of Newberry and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.Graveside funeral services with Masonic Rites was conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at West End Cemetery by Chaplain Greg Estes.Visitation was from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
