Obituary

Wendel David Frick 64 of 116 Fricks Outlet Rd. Chapin died Wednesday December 8 2010 at his residence. Mr. Frick was born in Chapin on September 16 1946 the son of the late David Wesley and Gladys Lindler Frick. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and served six years in the South Carolina National Guard. He worked in the Facilities Department at the University of South Carolina and enjoyed collecting a variety of treasures. He is survived by his wife Patricia Rinehart Frick; a daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Eddie Senn of Chapin; a son and daughter-in-law Dave and Brandy Frick of Chapin; a sister Judy Pitts of Chapin; grandchildren Devin and Jared Coltrane Josie and Wesley Frick; and a step-grandson Eric Senn. He was predeceased by brother-in-law Jim Pitts. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Tholstrup. Interment was in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 5:30 to 8:00 PM Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapin. Pallbearers were Dan Pitts Hugh PittsSr. Hugh Pitts Jr. Scott Pitts David Haselden William Buck Rinehart Milton Dennis Jamie Morris Feacha Sessions Larry Medlin and Mark Richardson. Honorary pallbearers were coworkers from the University of South Carolina Facilities Research Areas I II and III. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of TriCounty 13795 C.R.
