Willard Byrd, 91, of Denmark, SC, husband of Betty Ann Clary Byrd, died Thursday, August 11, 2022. Born in Denmark on January 17, 1931, he was a son of the late Ernest and Lula Mae Tant Byrd. Willard was a retired Textile Plant manager and a member of the First Baptist Church of Denmark He is survived by his wife Betty Ann Clary Byrd; four sons, W. Dean (Carmen) Byrd of McClellanville, Charles J. "Chuck" Byrd of Newberry, Darren M. (Denise) Byrd of Society Hill, Todd K. (Karan) Byrd of Cheraw; a brother, Maurice (Alma) Byrd of Albuquerque, NM and a sister, Betty Lou Walker of Amelia, Island, GA , ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Matt Titus at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will Alex Byrd, Austin Byrd, Justin Byrd, Dylan Byrd, Mack Clary and Claude Shumpert. Honorary pallbearers will be C. J. Clary, Lee Haun and Louis Anderson.
