IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willard Darnell "Danny"
Davis, Iii
May 29, 1958 – March 14, 2024
Willard Darnell "Danny" Davis, III, 65, of Newberry died Thursday, March 14, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Born on May 29, 1958 in New Orleans, LA he is a son of Mary Frances "Fran" White, the late Willard D. Davis, II, and the late William "Bill" H. White, Sr. who was his "Pop."
Growing up Danny enjoyed reading, especially the Louis 'L'Amour westerns, and would often finish a book in two days. As a teenager, Danny honed his skating skills, learning to do flips and other tricks. Everyone loved to see him at the Skating Rink because he could "skate so good".
Danny always had a gentle quiet spirit, preferring to be in the background. He was quick-witted, and while he did not say a lot, when he did it often left everyone laughing. He loved animals, especially his dog, Jenny, and spending time with family. He was affectionately known as "Uncle Dan-O" to his nieces and nephews. Danny loved his family and was so proud of all they accomplished.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Lynn Eustace (Carl) and Theresa Longshore (Mike); and brother, William "Billy" H. White, Jr (Dana); adopted sister, Marti Pitts (Joel); nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend, Kenneth Graham.
In addition to his father and his Pop, he was predeceased a sister, Rhonda White Hawkins (Dale).
