Willard "Will" Hentz Britton, 78, of Columbia died Friday, January 5, 2024.  Born on January 29,1945, in Newberry SC, he was a son of the late John Walter Britton, Sr. and the late Mary Hentz Britton Hilton.

He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School; he was a member of the Army National Guard for 7 years and a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church.

Will loved Pomaria, SC, people, animals and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Will lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. May the memories of Will and his laugh live on.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his Aunt Frances Hentz, brother John Walter Britton Jr, and nephew John Rodger Britton.

He is survived by his loving friend and companion, Susan Futrell; his two dogs, Kiddo and Andy; he is also survived by his cat, Willy.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday afternoon, January 20,2024 at the Pomaria Cemetery, 3063 Peak Road, Pomaria, S.C. 29126.

Memorials are suggested to a pet shelter of one's choice, or Pomaria Lutheran Church.
