William K. Elrod, Jr.- "Bill" "T-bone", 63, of Prosperity died Saturday, October 13, 2018. Born on October 14, 1954 in Athens, TN, he was the son of the late William Elrod, Sr. and Nellie Stewart Elrod. William was very involved with the Boys Farm and was a founding member of ABATE of South Carolina. He hosted many charitable events for numerous organizations, thoroughly enjoyed riding motorcycles, and adored his family. He is survived by a son, Shawn Eaves (Januarie) of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Caidence and Jesse Eaves; sister, Colleen Elrod McDaniel of Athens, TN; niece, Lottie McDaniel Herd (Donald) and their son, Jacob; and nephews, Shannon McDaniel (Brook) and their children, Dusty and Emmeleigh, and Casey McDaniel (Lynn) and their children, Madison, Sydney, and Colby. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel, Newberry. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry. Memorials are suggested to Boys Farm, PO Box 713, Newberry, SC 29108.
