William H. Bill White Sr. 82 died Monday September 15 2014 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm Thursday September 18 2014 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jeff ODell. Burial did follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Born on September 18 1931 he was a son of the late Ervin Ray White and Genevieve McDuffie White Burroughs. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Bill was an outstanding business man who was founder of Bill & Frans Restaurant Newberry Skating Rink and Whites Mobile Home Park. To his family he was tremendous. He was a wonderful husband a loving father and grandfather and a man who was devoted to his mother and sister. He was also a fair and a kindhearted person who would help others when in need. . He is survived by his wife Mary Frances Fran White; daughters Theresa Longshore (Mike) of Newberry and Lynn Eustace (Carl) of Ninety Six; sons Willard D. Davis III and William H. Billy White (Dana) both of Newberry; a sister Catherine White Porter (Bob) of Greenville; grandchildren Allen Morse (Amy) Lance Morse Carlyn Eustace Brandon Longshore (Stacy) Ashton Longshore (Mary) Kali Longshore (finace Garrett Setzler) Jamie Hawkins (Kayla) Rodney Dale DJ Morgan Jr. Graceann White and William H. "Treyten" White III.; great grandchildren Dakota Morse Ethan Morse Emma Lynn Morse Deagan Rushton Max Rushton Bentley Hawkins Annabelle Hawkins Atticus Longshore and Georgia Longshore and a daughter at heart Marti Geiger Pitts of Prosperity. . In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Rhonda White Hawkins and a brother Ervin Ray White Junior. Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Roberts Ray Hobby Shawn Brown Blue ODell Joel Pitts and Paul Hutchison.
