William Thomas Higgins, Jr. of Chapin, 62 years old, passed away suddenly Thursday, October 1, 2020. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late William Thomas Higgins Sr. and Doris Collier Higgins. He was a District Sales Manager for Cheney Brothers, Inc. Tom loved his family dearly. He enjoyed his grandchildren and driving them in his UGA Bulldog golf cart. His hard work, commitment and dedication were outstanding. Those qualities made him a great role model for his family and a natural leader both at home and at work. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Masters Higgins; children and their spouses, Bert Rosenberger (Shannon) of Milledgeville, GA, Heather Scott (Drew) of Greer, and William Thomas Higgins III (Bethany) of Charleston; grandchildren, Barrett Rosenberger, Brantley Rosenberger, Sumter Scott, Ellie Grace Higgins, Zoe Rosenberger, Weston Scott; and Judah Higgins; multiple nieces and nephews; and his favored child Uga, his 13 year old dachshund. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ginger Gentry. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 12:30 PM at Grace Church Downtown Campus. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 101 W McBee Ave, Greenville, SC 29601 conducted by Pastors Richard Brown and TJ Higgins. A private burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
