William Glenn Kluttz, 82, of Prosperity passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC.

Born on November 23, 1940 in Salisbury, NC, he was a son of late William Whitney and Ida Mae Surratt Kluttz.

Glenn previously attended Union Lutheran Church in Salisbury, NC and Grace Lutheran Church in Prosperity, SC. He was a member of Three Pines Country Club in Woodruff, SC. Glenn graduated with a Bachelors of Civil Engineering Degree from NC State University and went to work at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama helping to design Saturn 5. He also worked at Lockwood Greene Engineers in Spartanburg, SC, and retired from O'Neal, Inc. in Greenville, SC.

Glenn enjoyed golfing, fishing, tennis, and dancing. One of his greatest joys was pulling his grandchildren on water tubes around Lake Murray.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret Sonora Kluttz; two sons, William Keith of Spartanburg, SC and Bradford Glenn (Katie) of Greenville, SC; grandchildren; Whitney Alexander Kluttz, James Boston Kluttz, and Leila Abbott Kluttz; and sisters, Sarah Kluttz Holshouser and Doris Kluttz both of Salisbury, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Jane Mitcham at Grace Lutheran Church in Prosperity, SC on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church Family Life Center.

Graveside services will be held at noon on July 8, 2023 at Union Lutheran Church Cemetery, 4770 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.
