William Mack Garner 53 of 1119 Pet Sites Road Chapin died Saturday March 24 2012 at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital. Mr. Garner was born in Prosperity on October 28 1958 a son of Jewel Bouknight Garner and the late Carroll Bruce Garner. He was an employee of Wabtech and was a member of Wightman United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles especially charity rides to support childrens organizations. Mr. Garner is survived by his mother of Prosperity; wife Stacy Bouknight Garner of the home; children Jason Daniel Garner of Jacksonville FL Sgt. Jesse Bruce Garner of CA William Mack (Kristie) Garner Jr. of Newberry; Nicole Leigh Ruff Gibson of Chapin and Laurie Ruff (Christopher) Connelly of Prosperity; sister Carol Jean Garner of Prosperity; grandchildren Dominic Garner and Julie Garner both of FL Jon Henry Gibson of Chapin James Tanner Connelly of Prosperity and McKenzie Brooke Garner of Newberry; nephews Travis Chapman and John Garner; great-niece Jessica Chapman; and many friends that he enjoyed riding motorcycles with. He was predeceased by his brother Buddy Garner. Celebration of Life services was conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday March 29 2012 at Wightman United Methodist Church by the Rev. Michael Turner. The family did receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapin. Honorary pallbearers was the S & S crowd. The family was at the residence in Chapin and also at the residence of Mrs. Jewel Garner 403 N. Main Street Prosperity.
