William M. "Biff" Riebe, 66, of Kinards, SC died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born on October 1, 1950 in Brevard, NC, he was a son of the late K. W. Riebe and Nancy Kilpatrick Riebe. Biff was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and a retired self-employed contractor. A true outdoorsman, he greatly appreciated being in the woods and particularly enjoyed spending time on his tractor at the farm. He was passionate about hunting, especially turkey and deer. He was a former member of the Jalapa Hunting Club, the Exchange Club and Quail Unlimited and was a very active member and past president of the Newberry High School Band Parents Association. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Margaret Warren Riebe; children, Jenny R. Hamilton (Steve) of Chapin and Jonathan D. Riebe (Nicole Eidson) of Newberry; granddaughter, Gracyn Elizabeth Hamilton; siblings, Elaine Wolfe of Salem, OR and Kenneth C. Riebe (Barbara) of Newberry; very special friends, Ray Hobby, Danny Stone, Ronnie Crouch and J. Carlisle Oxner, Jr.; and his dog Buddy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sons, William Benjamin Riebe and Adam Riebe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 27 at First Baptist Church in Newberry conducted by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday following the service. A private burial will be held later in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
