William P. Shirlock, 81, of Irmo, SC passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Born on November 28, 1941 in Torrington, CT, he was a son of the late Paul and Rita Stickels Shirlock.

William was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Cambodia during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he was a successful businessman, starting two companies, Masterclean and Paintmasters of Texas.

He was a kind and generous person, and an accomplished chef. William worked in several restaurants in California and became a traveling chef, opening new restaurants throughout the western states. Bill enjoyed life, and with wife Donna, lived and traveled many places, especially after meeting their closest friends, Hank and Barbara Beliveau. He retired from Texas to Florida in 2013.

William was best known to his family and friends for the fantastic meals he prepared during the holidays. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years and forever soulmate, Donna; son, Art; granddaughter, Cynthia; brothers, Paul and Tim; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Eddie and Tommy; beloved uncle Robert Stickles; and his faithful canine companion, Ginger.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Texas.
