Willie Floyd Ruff 89 of Saluda NC formerly of Prosperity SC died Monday August 11 2014 at Autumn Care Nursing Home Saluda NC. She was born on December 27 1924 in Newberry County a daughter of the late Cora Maybin Floyd and John Yancy Floyd Jr. Mrs. Ruff was a Newberry College graduate and a retired high school teacher having taught for 38 years in S.C. and Illinois. She was a member of Wightman United Methodist Church United Methodist Women and the Literary Sorosis Society. She is survived by a step-son Joe Ruff of Indianapolis IN. She was predeceased by her first husband Julian Ruff second husband Virgil Ruff three sisters and a brother. Funeral Services were held on Thursday August 14 at 2:00 pm at Wightman United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Dean Lollis. Interment dld follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
