Obituary

Mr. Frick 89 passed away peacefully at home Monday morning March 21 2011 surrounded by his loving family. A native of Newberry SC he was the son of the late Olin and Lillian Stone Frick and a US Air Force Veteran. He was a long time employee of the US Postal Service and a member of Morning Star Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Ruth Shealy Frick a son Rev. Woodrow Frick (Zelia) of Salisbury two daughters Linda (Robert) Bagley of Mt. Gilead and Susan (Tim) Hutchinson of Mint Hill NC. Additional survivors include two brothers Kenneth Frick of Irmo SC and Frontis Frick of Denton Texas and a sister Virginia Abercrombie of Greenville SC seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A veteran of WW II he was a member of the 14th Tow Target Squadron of the US Air Force stationed in the Philippines while serving in Guam and New Guinea. Upon discharge he received the WW II Victory Medal. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday March 23 2011 at 2:00 PM at Morning Star Lutheran Church by Rev. Time Glenham and Rev. John Mouritsen. The family did greet friends from 1 PM to 2 PM at the church. Burial at Sharon Memorial Park did follow the church service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mint Hill Fire and Rescue Department or Presbyterian Hospice. Lowe Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Frick family.
